FPC materials may shrink or expand through lamination, baking, etching and profiling. This calculator estimates X/Y artwork or tooling compensation from target size and directional shrinkage.

Directional shrinkage compensation

公式: Tooling size = target size / (1 - shrinkage rate) + process bias

  • Target size: desired final dimension after processing.
  • Shrinkage rate: expected dimensional loss in each direction.
  • Process bias: additional empirical correction from factory data.

公式依據

  • Formula basis: dimensional compensation by inverse shrinkage ratio plus empirical process bias.
  • Engineering note: real compensation should be built from FAI and factory measurement history by material and process route.

工程注意事項
